How long has WorldClass Travel Network been in business? 
WorldClass Travel Network has been in business since 1991and began working with Independent Agents in 1992. WorldClass Travel Network developed a simple and easy program for Independent Agents to help grow your travel business.


Who can join the WorldClass Travel Network? 
WorldClass Travel Network is designed for all types of travel professionals: Independent agents, travel agencies that no longer want ARC affiliation, corporations using on-site travel agents and agents that specialize as cruise-only agents. Travel agents that book airline tickets need to familiar with one of the major CRS/GDS languages. WorldClass Travel Network utilizes Worldspan to book airline tickets and is very easy to use with general CRS/GDS knowledge.


How long does it take to get online with WorldClass Travel Network? 
After a short personal interview with management, WorldClass Travel Network can get you online booking travel for your clients. Your name will be added to our database to receive logins for preferred suppliers and vendors’ websites. You can immediately begin using our ARC number to book reservations with all major airlines, hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines, charter companies, and more. We require the contracts be signed and returned to our office prior to starting.


Is there a startup fee with WorldClass Travel Network? 
WorldClass Travel Network does not charge a startup fee. Moving to new host agency is stressful enough and WorldClass Travel Network wants to make the transition as smooth and inexpensive as possible.


What is the commission the rate?
WorldClass Travel Network does an 80/20% commission split. The exception is that you keep 100% of service fees.


When does WorldClass Travel Network pay agents?
All commissions that come in during the calendar month are calculated and paid on the 15th of the next month. Reports are generated to help you keep track of your commissions.


Do I have a long term contract obligation with WorldClass Travel Network?
No long-term contract. WorldClass Travel Network utilizes a month to month contract and can be cancelled at anytime.


Does WorldClass Travel Network belong to a consortium or organizations? 
WorldClass Travel Network is associated with Mercavia of Travel Leaders. WorldClass Travel Network is also associated with CLIA, IATAN, ASTA, ARC and NACTA.


Do I have to use WorldClass Travel Network as my business name? 
No, Independent Agents must use their own business names. You are permitted to include text such as “Affiliated with WorldClass Travel Network” or “Member of WorldClass Travel Network” on your business cards or letterhead to show you are affiliated with a larger ARC accredited agency.


Can I work from my home office?
Yes, you can work from anywhere there is an internet connection.


Do I get a statement?  How do I get paid?  
WorldClass Travel Network provides you with access to your accounting data online for review at any time.  A monthly summary statement is also provided online. Commissions are paid on a monthly basis. The payments are made on the 15th of each month for commission collected in the prior month.


What are WorldClass Travel Network hours of operation? 
WorldClass Travel Network office hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. The Independent Agents utilize a full time manager that is available to help during office hours. WorldClass Independents work on their own schedule and enjoy the ability to service their clients day or night including issuing airline tickets. An ‘after hours’ telephone number is provided for emergencies only.


Where do airline tickets print and how do I get my travel documents?

All WorldClass Travel Network agents run their own tickets at their convenience. The tickets are printed at WorldClass Travel Network’s office in Bloomington, Minnesota. Manual transactions such as ticket exchanges, MCOs and prepaid tickets are also handled by you with the help of WorldClass Travel Network. E-tickets make up the majority of airline ticket sales and need no document delivery. Delivery of paper tickets, tour documents, cruise documents and brochures can be sent out by overnight courier.  If you are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, we will use a local courier.  A nominal fee will be charged for delivery service.


How do I invoice my travel bookings?
WorldClass Travel Network agents invoice with a third party software called “ScriptEasy”. ScriptEasy prints invoices in our office and transfers the booking to the back office accounting software. “TRAMS” accounting software then stores your transactions until payday.


Are there additional monthly fees or fees for other services? 
WorldClass Travel Network charges a fee of $5.00 per airline ticket.
Worldspan Power Pricing is $20.00 per month. (Optional)
WorldClass Travel charges $50.00 per month for the Basic Success Program.


Does WorldClass Travel Network offer or carry Errors and Omissions Insurance?
 
Yes, it is mandatory that you pay for Errors and Omissions Insurances through WorldClass Travel. It is $75.00 per year or pro-rated at $6.25 per month. Errors & Omissions Insurance protects you from lawsuits when selling travel to the public.


What are my computer requirements?
 
WorldClass Travel network utilizes WorldSpan for the CRS system.

The minimum requirements by Worldspan are:


• Intel Pentium/Celeron family processor

• 500 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system), or higher processor clock speed recommended

• 256 megabytes (MB) of RAM recommended, 128 megabytes (MB) minimum

• 5 gigabytes (GB) Hard Drive

• 2 megabytes (MB) of Video RAM or more

• Local or network accessible CD Drive

• Minimum required screen resolution of 800x600, 17 " monitor recommended

• IBM compatible keyboard with F1 through F12 function keys

• Windows compatible pointing device

• Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Service Pack 1 Home and Pro operating system ( Note: If you do not have the Windows XP with Service Pack 1, please click the Microsoft's websites to obtain Service Pack 1)

• Internet Explorer 6.0

• An Internet Service Provider

• An Internet connection speed of 28,800 baud or greater

How do I transfer or apply for an IATAN card with WorldClass Travel Network?
  
If you currently have an IATAN card we can transfer it to our company by filling out IATAN Transfer Form 104. If you do not currently have an IATAN card and meet the IATAN eligibility requirements of $5000.00 per year in income from travel sales we will get you one by filling out IATAN New Application Form 102. There are nominal charges associated with obtaining the cards from IATAN.


How do I get information on supplier specials and FAM trips?

Currently WorldClass Travel Network e-mails all supplier specials and FAM trip information daily. WorldClass Travel Network utilizes an attachment in .TIFF file format easily viewed and printed. We also recommend a large capacity 10 megabyte e-mail mailbox to store incoming information.


Do I need high-speed internet or can I use a dial-up connection?

WorldClass Travel Network recommends high-speed internet for booking travel through Worldspan and on the internet. However, you can run the Worldspan program on a dial-up line if high-speed internet is not available.


Can I get training through the WorldClass Travel Network?
All WorldClass Travel Network’s independent agents can get additional training at an additional one time charge.


Does WorldClass Travel Network use Preferred Suppliers?

Yes, WorldClass Travel Network has many preferred vendors through Mercavia. Due to the volume of bookings WorldClass Travel Network is at the top of commission charts with most suppliers.
